Processing Payments

The main function of this office is to record child support/alimony payments and forward these payments to the proper recipient. We handle only those cases which are not paid by wage assignment through the employer. All employer-generated payments for child support are processed by the Arkansas Child Support Clearinghouse. Payments from the employer for alimony are handled by this office.

Wage Assignments

This office is responsible for issuing wage assignments (Order/Notice of Income Withholding) for all private attorney and pro se cases. A copy of the decree/order and the supplemental order along with the name and address of the employer should be provided to this office by the attorneys. We also process applications for income withholding, both voluntary and involuntary.

Payment Records

We provide copies of all payment records maintained by this office. The cost for payment records is $0.50 for the first page and $0.25 for each additional page. A certified copy is a flat fee of $4.00. We also give payment information by telephone.

We attempt to assist the public as much as possible with support questions. However, the Support Division does not offer legal advice and cannot aid in legal matters.
